Samsung Rolling Out Latest Security Update to More Galaxy S22 Users

Samsung has made the latest security update more widely available to the Galaxy S22 series. The update is now available in Asian, Australian, and Latin American nations. The February 2024 security update was originally made available to the Galaxy S22 in Europe, and then pushed to North America.

The latest security update is currently available for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra throughout Asia and Latin America. In India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, the firmware upgrade is version S90xEXXS7DXB5. The update has arrived in Latin American nations, with firmware version S90xEXXS7DXB7. In Australia, the upgrade includes firmware version S90xEXXS7DXB8. This new update addresses 72 security issues discovered in the previous software version.

If you own a Galaxy S22 phone and reside in one of the countries or areas listed above, you may check for the latest update. You may do this by launching the Settings app, selecting Software Update, and then pressing Download and Install. You may also obtain the updated firmware file from our database and manually flash it.

This might be one of the final software upgrades for the Galaxy S22 before the feature-rich One UI 6.1 version arrives. The Galaxy S22 series was released in 2022 with Android 12 preinstalled. The phones in the range received the Android 13 upgrade in late 2022, followed by the Android 14 release in late 2023.
